can only receive 3 channels and am only 45 miles from 12 stations. Spec say can locate in attic but now must buy a booster. Hope it works.

This antenna is well built, it got wind tested the first day. It is aimed between Detroit and Toledo and brings in both.

Worked as expected January 1, 2015

Met my expectations, I mounted this 6ft above the peak of a 2nd story roof with a Winegard LNA-200 pre-amp, Winegard Eave Mount and Antennas Direct CDA8 8-Way Output Distribution Amplifier, I am 70 miles from the towers I needed to reach. I used this with a few Channel Master DVR+'s and Roku's to replace DirecTV. I am very satisfied, and feel like I have lost nothing at all. DirecTV gave me hundreds of channels with poor programming but I thought I might miss it due to some select channels, I don't. After I set everything up, my tuners picked up channels further out then expected but not strong enough for reliable watching, so I deleted them as well as others I did not want. If you are getting price gouged buy your TV media provider just cut the cord, the provider will counter offer, just cut them off.

Great product! Exceeded expectations! August 17, 2014

I read many reviews about antennas which led me to purchase the channel master 4228hd. I'm so glad I did! I mounted the antenna to a 20 foot mast above my one story house 38 miles north of Atlanta. I used antennaweb.org and aimed the antenna towards the area of most broadcast towers, and according to this site I would receive 72 channels, I actually received 86 channels, with most at 100% signal strength! I have the antenna signal being sent to 7 rooms and my basement utilizing a 15dB drop amplifier and a remote powered splitter that has no signal loss. I also used the cable distribution box to send to the rooms. All in all, very satisfied with this product!

Great antenna! July 6, 2014

I replaced a large analog antenna. I wanted something smaller and with less places for the birds to land and do their thing. The signal strength was the same or better than the existing monster analog antenna. I'm about 63 miles away from the transmitter.
