No problems with my CM7000pal July 13, 2014
Reviewer: anonymous from Michigan
Too bad the CM7000PAL was discontinued.  I've had mine going on 4 years and it still works perfectly.\nI've really never had any issues with it.  My only gripe is the TV guide not going more than 24-36 hrs ahead of time but I definitely got my money's worth.  Wish I could buy a second for another TV in another room.  Not too impressed with the reviews for the successor model not to mention the $.

Still going! March 18, 2014

This is a great basic unit & a great way to cut the cord of the cable fat cats. Most shows I watch are OTA & there's no reason to keep paying those cable guys.\n I highly reccomend placing this unit in a well vented place to keep it from overheating.

Awesome Antenna DVR! Bring it back! October 18, 2013
Reviewer: Andrew Lemke from Delta Township, MI
This is one of the best purchases I've EVER made!  I purchased my CM7000PAL as an open box special in August 2012 and it paid for itself in a matter of months.  Rather than paying $100 per month (That's $1,200.00 per year folks.) for a pay TV DVR, I can record, pause, and rewind live antenna TV with ZERO monthly costs.  The onscreen program guide is easy to use and the DVR function is great.  The only issue I've ever had is the occasional lock-up, which is easily fixed by switching off the power strip and turning it back on again. Channel Master, please bring this product back and get the word out about this amazing product!!!

Waste of money October 7, 2013
Reviewer: anonymous from Seattle WA.
Bought this in 2012. Used it often to record shows. but after 1 1/2 year it was caught in a loop from downloading to set up and I could not get out of it. \nNo way to reboot devise. \nPoor design, because no reset button built in. \nSince it was out of warrenty, Tech advise having hard drive replaced because thats what other customers did. (No Way I'm going to throw more money away on this) \nToo bad Channel Master did not disclosed working life is less than 3 years

Worked good for a while. Started to hang up & had to reboot often. Now won't reboot. Poor operating system. How could it be so bad didn't they look at cable DVRs before they made this?
