WiFi Adapter Finicky December 18, 2014
Reviewer: Clayton Morg from Tulsa, OK United States
Our wifi router is fairly near the DVR+ but we  continue to have issues with  wifi connectivity. The DVR+ always recognizes when the adapter has been plugged into the USB port but that's about as far as we get. Early on we even got as far as being shown our wireless network name, which we successfully connected to. We were even able to get the  Rovi schedule downloaded once, but after that things went from bad to worse. We now consistently get "no wireless devices found." going through the wireless setup. We performed the DVR+ factory reset a couple of times, tried switching the hard drive and wifi usb ports, etc., all to no avail. After considerable time on the phone with Channelmaster support (which is always very patient and helpful) the conclusion was that the wifi adapter was defective.

Channelmaster is sending a replacement, so we will see if that fixes things.

Otherwise, we LOVE the DVR+, with its ability to skip over large commercial sweeps with a few touches of a button!

Limited Range December 17, 2014
Reviewer: Leslie Miner from Elk River, MN United States
The unit has low wifi sensitivity. Sitting next to other wifi devices that show high signal strength, this unit times out when connecting to VUDU. I had to move it to a real inconvenient location to get barely acceptable signal strength. All other wifi devices have no problem

connects fine but feel $39 is a ittle much December 17, 2014

No problem with the adapter other than one might think that when you plug it in it only blinks once and does show any activity until you complete connecting via the DVR+.  Why they do not just build this in internally like other set top boxes beats me.
